On June 8, we celebrate World Oceans Day to protect the oceans. A healthy planet needs a healthy ocean, so we can do a lot of things to help our planet avoiding overifishing, climate change and plastic pollution.

MATERIALS AND MACHINES. THE GAME

We are finishing the unit about MATERIALS and we have learnt a lot of things, for example that all objects around us are made of material, We have learnt that materials are different. Materials can be natural or man-made and that they have different properties (soft or hard, transparent or dull, rigid or flexible, rough or smooth), and finally we have learnt that a lot of materials can be recycled and for this is very important to be conscious about the 3 R's (Reuse, Reduce and Recycle) to care of our planet. 

Now, you are an expert and it could be a very good opportunity to share your knowledge with us about this topic playing a funny game. In the following game you can practice all these things we learnt in the unit about MATERIALS and all we learnt about MACHINES, do you remember?

Estamos terminando la unidad sobre los MATERIALES y hemos aprendido un montón de cosas. Por ejemplo hemos aprendido que todo lo que nos rodea está hecho de material, que los materiales son distintos, que los materiales pueden ser naturales o hechos por el ser humano y que tienen propiedades diferentes (pueden ser blandos o duros, transparentes u opacos, rígidos o flexibles, ásperos o lisos) y finalmente hemos aprendido que muchos materiales se pueden reciclar y por esto es muy importante ser conscientes de las 3 R (Reducir, Reutilizar y Reciclar) para cuidar de nuestro planeta.

Ahora, ya eres un experto o experta y sería una muy buena oportunidad compartir los conocimientos sobre este tema con nosotros jugando a un divertido juego. En el siguiente juego podrás practicar todo esto que hemos visto en la unidad en la que trabajamos los MATERIALES y lo que aprendimos en la unidad las MÁQUINAS, ¿lo recuerdas?

World Environment Day is celebrated on 5 June every year, and is the United Nations' principal vehicle for encouraging awareness and action for protection of our environment. 

More than 143 countries participe every year in the different events around the world to defend environmental causes.

NEW TOPIC. MATERIALS

Hello class!!!  

How are you?

Next week we are going to start a nex unit and the last unit of the year. The topic is Materials and we are going to learn that all the objects around us are made of materials, which these different materials are, where materials come from and which are their properties. Further, we are going to learn how we can help the Earth if we know and practice the 3 R's (Reduce, Reuse and Recycle).

La próxima semana vamos a empezar un nuevo tema que será el último tema del curso. El tema es Los Materiales y vamos a aprender que todos los objetos que nos rodean están hechos de materiales, cuáles son esos materiales, de dónde vienen y cuáles son sus propiedades. Además, vamos a aprender cómo podemos ayudar a La Tierra si sabemos y practicamos las 3 R (Reducir, Reutilizar y Reciclar).
